Papers dealing with empirical, methodological and/or theoretical questions are invited on the following themes:

  • Biographical research and the divisions in Europe: challenges and potentials
  • Biographical perspectives on inequality in contemporary Europe
  • Biographical strategies in overcoming inequalities
  • Social innovation research and biographical perspectives on agency
  • Interconnections of biographical perspectives and discourses: finding silenced stories and provoking hegemonic narratives
  • Forced migration, mobility and movement across Europe
  • Silenced biographies

In order to apply, please provide a paper abstract in English with no more than 300 words and a brief biographic summary of no more than 200 words. Deadline for submissions is 30 March 2016. Applications should be submitted electronically.

Travel and accommodation costs will have to be covered by the participants. The participation fee is 50 Euro for regular participants, 40 Euro for ESA members and 30 Euro for PhD students.
